Tell your story .......

Today I want to share an Art Journal with you and I have put together a small step by step tutorial on how I made the page. Hope you like it.

To create the background, I used different colors paint spray
Spray one color on the acetate and then spritz one or two time with water on top.

Press the acetate gentle to the background with the paint facing down. The paint will then look something like this. You can either dry it with a heatgun or just leave it to dry. When dry you add the next color .

Finished result with 3 colors. You can now choose to stamp, draw, write, make a collage or whatever you like.

I thought a collage would look good with my background, so I gathered some vintage ephemera matching the colors of the background. With scissors, gluestick, and a pencil I put together a collage. This part of the page can take some time before you feel it is ok.

Thank you for looking. Keep on creating.

Thrift Shop

I have a layout to show you with a short tutorial on how I made it. Thank you for looking.

Here are some of the product I gathered together to create the page: masks, gesso,  Coloration spray ink, Sorbet, Velvet and Dimentional Crystal in colors coordinating the shoes in the picture. Some of the products I used and some I didn't and that is how I work. I also used products not shown on the picture below.

First I made some texture with Velvet - dimentional paint - Aloha combined with a stencil. I used a spartel to spread the paint evenly on the background. Make sure to clean the stensil straight after use.

I added strips of sticky canvas on top of the paint when dry. To create some extra interest to the page I sew on some strip of patternpaper on the edges of the page. This is now a 8,5”x11” page.

On top of the canvas strips and paint I added another layer with texture, using a homemade stencil and Sorbet glossy medium - Frost

I painted the canvas strips with some clear gesso and then added a thin layer with Colorations spray - Walmea Bay using my finger as a paintbrush. Finally adding some Maya Road butterflies, some red gems to match the red flowers in the pattern paper and Thickers.

How to stand out!

Two Art Journal pages I made last night in a hurry, I just had to get some energy out and this is the result. The background is made with acrylic paint, spray paint and a gelli plate. The black is black paint mixed with water. I painted with a round chinese brush.
Wishing you all a creative week.

Not all those .....

San Francisco as I saw it one day in May 2014, waiting for the bus. I made this layout for the challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo: February 2015 challenge {#113} - abstract art NO flowers

Some creative love in the studio.

Hi there.
I've had some creative fun in the studio. Been playing in my art journal and these two pages was some of the things I did. The pictures could have been better, but I guess that is part of the playing for fun part. Don't have to set up my photo studio.

This one is two pages put together with the help of photoshop. I just upgraded my photoshop to CC2014 and had to try it out. The eye stamp is from VLVS. I went through my ink pads to throw away the ones not working anymore. Guess there where still some ink in some of them :-)
Wishing you all a creative and fun weekend.

Uglebok
