Fabulous Fall with GelliArtsⓇ and Plaid Paints

Today I want to share a fabulous project with you, actually it's called Fabulous Fall and it's made for the collaboration with GelliArtsⓇ and Plaid Paints. I made a mobile out of mono print on fabric and a gift bag to have it in.

When I made the gel prints I used an acrylic block together with the GelliArtsⓇ 4" circle printing plate as a stamp. I used various tools to create texture to the print. 

I made prints on both sides of the fabric, so when the mobile moves there is no back or front on the circles.

When all the prints where done, I made the fabric a bit steadier with Stiff spray, then I cut every circle out.

A thin wire is what holds these circles together, beads help holding the construction steady so the circles don't move up or down on the wire.

Finished project, ready to give away or hang up in the window or in the roof.

Mobiles hanging from the roof and because it was hard to get a good picture of the vibrant colors I'm adding a detail pictures of some of the mobile elements

Gelli Arts® Gel Printed acrylic shapes

Hi

Today I want to share a short inspiration video with you. I got some acrylic shapes the other day from a friend who thought I could do something fun with them and for me any white or clean surface could do with some color, print and patterns! 

First I prepared all the acrylic shapes with clear gesso and let it dry. That way the paint will not peel off that easy. I’m using the 4” 4” round Gelli® Printing Plate for this project, but you could use any size and shapes Gelli® Printing Plate. To add color I’m using GelliArts® Premium Acrylic Paint in various colors + Gold acrylic paint and for patterns in the print I’m using Gelli Arts® mini printing tool and punchinella. When I was happy with the backgrounds on the acrylic shapes I stamped various designs on them with black ink and red paint. All the stamps are designed by Birgit Koopsen for Carabelle Studio. Finally added the metal and magnet and this is how it turned out.

Fathers - digital collage - GelliArtsⓇ Inspired by fathers

GelliArts® is hosting a monthly inspiration prompt on their social media where you can win $25 in their store. The prompt for June is 'inspired by fathers'. This digital collage started as a print where I used an image from a vintage magazine. The picture was of three guys walking together and i cut out the silhouette of the men and used as a mask, there is also 2 other prints used in the silhouette.

Today I can finally share som fantastic news. I am now officially Brand Ambassador / Artist for GelliArts I'm over the moon excited to be working with this great company and fantastic products. I've been a fan since before the first time I got my hands on my first GelliArts printing plate back in 2013 after looking for it in Norway for several months. I can't wait to get started on the job, and check out the great artist I will be working alongside with 

 

Got an article published

Last August I had an article about mixedmedia backgrounds published in the Norwegian magazine Ett Trykk, these pages are from the gelliprint section. A big thank you to Ett Trykk for asking me. I love to inspire people to pull out their gelliplate and play. Here is a few pictures from the magazine, sorry about the dark colour but glossy paper is not the best in front of a camera.
