Her er januar prosjektet mitt for Gauche Alchemy.
Gauche Alchemy is sponsoring a cool color challenge over at the Punky Scraps blog and I could not resist taking part in this fun challenge. The challenge is to create a project using neon.
Here is my take on the challenge. Using lots of Gauche Alchemy goodies from the GA shop where there now is 20% of.

Our January Blog Hop is all about layout principles. Ali found this fabulous prompt on Pinterest, courtesy of SuzyQ Scraps http://suzyqscraps.com/. It really sums up the beginnings of every layout.
So come with us and see how this sketch turns into some glorious pieces of art :)
Before you visit Tusia's blog I would like to show you my page, made after principle number 4.
Picture and text is in the center of the page and where the picture is above the text/title. I guess the golden section comes in handy to this kind of design. Make sure the text stays inside the with of the image. It is also important to make sure the square you decide to fill with design has its centre a tiny bit above the middle line of the background paper. That way the design will have the correct golden section. When I make pages with this in mind, I do like to use lots of layers to make the page interesting. It is important to not put all the paper directly above each other, but put them slightly to one side. When you put the picture on top, make sure it is centre to the design square and background paper. The picture is my son having a coffee break while filling the garage with firewood.
I found the perfect pattern paper with woodgrain for the theme.
I've used various layers of papers and on top added some heavy gesso.
Happy New Year to you all! I've started this year by creating an Art Journal book for 2014. I was planning to use it myself, but when it was finished, I knew I had to give it to a friend who I know loves Art Journaling.
If you receive the GA January Newsletter you have already seen this and lots of other inspiring post by the Alchemists. I you haven't received it, you can sign up for it at the Gauche Alchemy blog.
